A young man is awakened by noises. Some men poorly dressed are seated at the table in his kitchen. They are talking about something moving inside a cage. 

This story is inspired by the tragedy in the mine of Ribolla, on 1954, May 4th, where 43 miners lost their lives and, in the meantime, it's a homage to cinema, intended by the young writer (character Luciano), as an instrument of social emancipation.

On the 4th of May 1954, an explosion caused the worst mine tragedy of Italy: 43 miners died.
