Root of All Evil was created for the Providence 48 Hour Film Project, in which participants are given 48 hours to conceive, produce, and hand in a completed short film based on specified requirements. It went on to win Best Film in the competition, along with five other awards: Best Ensemble Cast, Best Costumes, Best Use of Prop, Best Special Effects, and Most Lifelike Severed Body Part.


Root of All Evil

This short film centers around a young dancer named Ellie. All Ellie wants is to be a dancer but her ballet instructor and peers do anything but help her in this path. We discover a person's desire for acceptance on their path to discovering their true potential. Ellie's true potential is quite dark.
