Don't Wake Up
A gay man, tired and alone in the height of the Covid-19 pandemic is overwhelmed by politics and rising death statistics. He wakes in the middle of the night to the voice of a dear friend long dead since the 1990s. Appearing on the screen of the man’s tablet, his buddy lulls him into a state of peace. In conversation, the man finds he cannot remember anything beyond the Obama era. Through the many technological quirks of his tablet, reality continues to seduce the man, only to deliver the inconvenient truth when he least expects it. Along with the truth comes something else he wasn’t expecting. Then end to his loneliness.
