Chole, a teenage bookworm does what she can to escape from the harsh realities of her life. A father who's addicted to gambling and a mother who's at her wits end. Chole is challenged to get her father to stop, so going to his favourite betting shop she meets Jack, a fellow teenage bookworm, and a possible kindred spirit.
