Radha
Radha, at its core, is a film about love and sacrifice. You will be taken on an emotional journey through the eyes and lives of two distinct characters. One chasing dreams and the other rooted still. Yet the distance just makes the heart grow fonder.
We draw inspiration from the timeless bond of Radha and Krishna—in their enduring emotional connection. According to Hindu mythology, Krishna may have left Radha behind in Vrindavan, but he never truly left her spirit. The Puranic texts speak of their bond as one that transcends physical presence. Such is the nature of unconditional love: indivisible, eternal, ever-present.
Our story is set in Calcutta and revolves around Radha, an elderly lady who nurtured a young boy and loves him with all her heart. Time, however, separates them and though she longs to see him, she waits patiently.
The young boy, with his innocence and playful charm, brought joy to Radha’s world. To him, she was everything—his mentor, friend, and idol. She gave him the strength to dream and the courage to face life’s uncertainties. And he, in return, made her laugh.
Through this tender relationship, Radha raises a series of deeply human questions:
Does true, selfless love ever fade or is it eternal?
Do we ever truly lose those we love or are they always by our side, even when we can’t see them?
And most importantly: Can a bond forged in pure love ever break or does it simply evolve?
We don’t claim to have the answers. But what we offer is an ode to the ones who wait for us back at home, reminding you to reach out to them with love.
