Nearly 100 men died building the Hoover Dam, but the monumental structure has far outlived any controversy over their deaths. "Deep Time" explores a similar lust for achievement at the expense of the individual—even if it's the individual who's putting their lives at risk for some ambiguous pursuit of "discovery." Alongside this core exploration are themes of blindly following orders, holding on to your humanity in times of crisis, self-sacrifice, and corporate greed.
