Into the Soul tells its story backward, beginning with the main character in the snow with two broken legs and temporary amnesia. He slowly remembers how he got into such a state in reverse while fighting for his life in the cold.

Scott Lambson penned and helmed Into the Soul on a shoestring budget of under $5k. The film’s gorgeous aerial shots were shot with a DJI Inspire 2, adding an additional layer of depth to its nonlinear storytelling.

Into the Soul was filmed in Utah in 2019, starting in February and ending in May. The film was released in 2020 on select streaming services.

Scott Lambson made his directorial debut with Into the Soul. Before working on the movie, Lambson created documentaries and music videos. Scott followed up his first feature film with another title, Mr. Earth.

Into the Soul is available to watch on Reveel.
