Horror films about the torture of victims took off with the release of Saw in 2004. The new subgenre pushed the envelope of what could be shown on film and what audiences were willing to sit through. “The Hammer and Anvil” brings together all of the films about villains enjoying the suffering of the victims. Here is a breakdown of all the films included in the playlist.
