Life is full is an emotional rollercoaster and so is our weekly new lineup of short films being added to the platform. These seven films will make you feel uplifted, depressed, inspired, and also downright angry. One of these films digs deep into every spouse’s worst nightmare while another film, created by Green Renaissance, teaches you life lessons about being thankful for what you have. This lineup of New on Reveel titles is some of our most diverse collections yet. Without further ado, here are Reveel’s seven additions to the platform.

Heaven on Earth

1. Heaven on Earth – Created By Green Renaissance

There are many life lessons we can learn from dogs. One of the biggest lessons is about living in the moment. Dogs are masters of living in the present. They aren’t riddled with anxiety about the future or regrets of the past. They take life one step at a time and live in every moment. This is something we could all stand to learn from our furry friends and this idea is explored more in Green Renaissance’s short film Heaven on Earth. The film delves into Michael Canfield’s life in his twilight years and how being grateful helps him live his best life.

Two Guns and a Funeral

3. Two Guns and a Funeral – Directed By Joel Garman

Westerns are known for many things: outlaws, sheriffs, duels, and of course, revenge. While most modern-day revenge tales are dark and gritty, Two Guns and a Funeral is a lighthearted take on the genre. Two Guns and a Funeral is about simple-minded outlaws Bullock and Cassidy who quickly realize something is very wrong at the funeral of their gang leader. The short film brings some lighthearted comedy in the midst of a lineup of mostly dramatic films.

4. Delivery – Directed By Joe Boothe

Doug is a 3.7 stars type of dude. He isn’t the best person to work with but he’s also not the worst person in the world. He just tries to do his job without putting in any real effort. When he’s tasked with making a delivery to the home of two lovers, the flaky delivery driver bites off more than he can chew when he stumbles into a lover’s quarrel gone wrong. This thriller manages to pull out a lot of laughs to offset the suspense.

All I Have

5. All I Have – Directed By Matt Winters

Police brutality and racial injustice are topics that are all too familiar for many Americans. Social media has put a unique spotlight on the wrongdoings of police officers, which has led to huge movements and protests. There have been protests and the fallout from the protests but what about the in-between? The lives that happened and happen in-between the headlines. In the short film All I Have, an emotionally tattered father tries to raise his civic-minded teenage son in a nation of civil unrest and systemic racism.

Rewind My Love

7. Rewind My Love – Directed By Marc Roussel

This short film was created for the 24-Hour Mobifest Challenge in 2009 and shot entirely on the Nokia N86 mobile phone. Clocking in at a little over a minute and a half, the film cleverly plays on the classic love story that we all know and tells a love story in reverse. The film is a short watch but it’s a sweet and heartwarming way to end our lineup of New on Reveel titles.
